Message:  Hello Jody!  Gud afternoon. We just got back from our honeymoon we just want to say that we truly appreciate your service Please say hi to Ms. Marie for me, she’s been great!

It was a black and white wedding for Voltaire Wycoco and Nela San Jose.  Sure, there were a number of black and white theme weddings nowadays and the guests have become more receptive to this.  But for our bride last August 8, Nela San Jose, the theme doesn’t stop there by just mixing the two colors.  Instead, she was confident enough to even wear an almost “black” (silver gray) gown!!! It was a dream come true as per Dino Lara who took as usual the beautiful pictures. For me, the wedding is just a class on its own!  The female entourage on the other hand came in white cocktail dresses with a black band on their waists.  Of course, to complete the look, it should be red stilletos to match their outfits. Almost all their guests came in black, which actually magnified the elegance of the event. 

A well-attended wedding good for about 180pax, the North Forbes clubhouse was decorated beautifully by Tini Jacaria, a good friend of the bride  The cake was from Polly’s Kitchen.  Yes, the famous chocolate cake that always run out of stock in Shell Magallanes.  It was superbly delicious.  

We finished early from a wedding mass in St. Alphonsus de Ligouri Church (Magallanes Church) for the 3pm slot.  I just have to say that I love doing weddings on this church.  The people were so accommodating.  I hope they won’t change though.  Afterward, the guests were treated for some cocktails outside the clubhouse before we proceeded with formal dinner prepared by Culliere. 

It was the shortest program we’ve ever had.  They just had the cake-cutting after the couple enters from their grand entrance.  Then dinner was served right away.  Gone are the games since the bestman just proposed a toast for the newlyweds and then there was just the on-site avp by 30-fps. A beautiful video indeed, which was shown just right before we end the program.  The groom, Voltaire, is such a good speaker. His speech was one of those memorable speeches I have heard from a groom. It was a well-thought speech.

An excerpt: “13 years is a long time especially if you were an OFW working for your family or if you were incarcerated but if you’re with the love of your life and you’re happy, it goes by really fast.”

They were the easiest couple as well.  I have never presented to a couple before that have signed the contract with me after just like 15minutes of talking!  I love them!  ;) They know very well what they wanted and how they wanted the wedding to be.  I am so happy to have been given such trust right away!  

To Nela and Volts, your marriage would definitely flourish because you both care for each other and the relationship.  We had a number of weddings, countless actually…and yours would actually be one of those truly memorable!

Santuario de San Jose - Peninsula Manila

During the preparation in the bridal suite in the Peninsula Manila, there was no hint of nervousness from Chrish.  She was well-reserved and composed.  But back to the room of RJ, you could feel the tension running in RJ’s veins!  lol!  But good thing the good friends from Threelogy and so as Mimi and Karl made it all possible for RJ to relax a bit. Well, not to mention that it was all good to be working really with good friends!

Needless to say, I heart again Veluz’s gown for our bride. Secretly, I am hoping my husband would marry me again so I can ask Veluz to make a wedding gown for me! hahaha, big time!  

Wedding mass happened in Santuario de San Jose.  I really like the new door of the church and the new red carpet!  Guests were treated to a sit-down menu from my favorite hotel, Peninsula Manila (disclaimer: this was where we had our own wedding reception as well!, need I say more?) For the reception, I have encouraged them to do a cheorographed first dance which everyone loved after their grand entrance.  

The reception was highlighted by the special suprise song number by the groom!  I didn’t know RJ could sing so well.  And bravo to him for actually composing the song himself!  That made Chrish a crying baby!

To RJ and Chrish…congratulations for a beautiful wedding!  It was all things you have wished for!  We are glad to be part of your special day!

Theme of the wedding was all about Seasons.  Yes, its about Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.  The bride, Celle who is currently based in New York and the groom, Rey, on the other hand is based in Canada thought of this theme as a symbolish of the seasons they have weathered for their relationship. Joyce Aguilar of 2171 floral creations did a wonderful arrangements on the table centerpieces. The Banyan Hall of Blue Leaf was truly transformed in different seasons using different colored linens as well as appropriate floral decors suited to Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.

The ceremony was held in St. Alphonsus de Liguori (Magallanes Church) at 3pm. I was amazed as to how organized the church staff there! It has been a while since we had a last wedding there. I might say, they were different from the other “manangs’ from other churches. Ms Cathy, the one who was coordinating for all the documents were also very helpful and accommodating. I didn’t have any problems at all in submission of requirements even if Celle and Rey were based overseas.

Again, another beautiful wedding!  Cheers to Celle and Rey for a happy married life!
