Modern Black and White: Raffa and Nikki

Black and white is always elegant. It’s a classic for everything, but not normally for weddings. However, one of our couples, Raffa and Nikki, pulled this color combination off without a hitch. Their dream of a simple, elegant, yet relaxed affair came into fruition with the use of black, white accented with silver, gray and green.

The simple tall elegant glass centerpiece was highlighted by the use of lit candles, striped black and white table runners intersecting across a white tablecloth. The asters lining the church aisle, and all the white flowers accented with green leaves for the reception decor and entourage flowers complemented the motif perfectly. It was formal yet relaxed, exactly what the couple wanted.

Marriage of Personalities: Monica and Aaron

A relationship of people with different personalities can be challenging and exhilarating at the same time. When those two people decide to get married, you would expect conflict to arise and problems to crop up.. Not so with Monica and Aaron. Although Monica admits that they “are opposites (both personality and style-wise)”, they were able to agree on a wedding that showcased both their individual personality styles but at the same time exhibited the things that they shared together.

The minimalist design elements – clean lines, strong colors and simple decor, mixed together with the details that reflect the unique touch (peacock feathers to highlight the table centerpieces and to serve as placeholders) that Monica wanted their wedding to have. This year, we already coordinated/ planned 18 weddings – with more to come this May – but each one of them was a pleasure to attend and coordinate, each one of them special and different. Kathrese Gulay-Salazar and Erik Salazar were married last February 12, 2011 at the Magallanes Church. They partied with their family and friends at the Rigodon Ballroom of the Peninsula Manila in a frenzy of pastel.

The videos are incredible and really showcase the aura of happiness surrounding this celebrity wedding. Normally it takes a lot of effort and power (will power from the people involved, that is!) to keep mum about something this big, but it was amazing how everything was kept secret until the moment the couple wanted to release the details.

More and more celebrities want a private affair for the personal events in their lives – choosing the right people, the moment and the details to release to the press. In a way, celebrity weddings highlight the relationship of trust between the two people getting married and all the people they choose to work with. In addition to the basic trust – that is, depending on the suppliers to come through and showcase their abilities for the wedding, another layer is trusting them to keep all matters confidential. Can you imagine how hard it is not to tell people that you are playing a part in one of the weddings that people would want so much to find out about? And can you imagine how hard it is to keep a secret that big among so many people?

With only the official photographers and videographers recording the intimate ceremony and reception, the family and friends, not to mention, Kristine and Oyo, were able to let loose, be themselves and just enjoy the reason they were all there together.

Now, with the release of the videos, we can finally witness what it was like to have been there firsthand

It’s a Private Affair for Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Boy Sotto

Last January 12, 2011, Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Boy Sotto were wed amid close family and friends at Club Balai Isabel, Talisay, Batangas. Events Experts were the on the day coordinators for the intimate ceremony, but because of the privacy requested by the couple from all their suppliers, we have chosen to keep mum about any of the details surrounding the event.

Weddings At Work only posted an article about their wedding here.

For now, all this close-mouthed couple has chosen to reveal are their prenup pictures taken in Subic late last December 2010. And until they choose to share more than this with us, we will just have to wait with bated breath

2010 WEDDING OF THE YEAR for EVENTS EXPERTS

Every year, Weddings at Work compiles wedding entries from different wedding coordinators. The entry from Events Experts was one of the lucky few chosen to be featured as one of 2010′s Wedding of the Year:

The couple is based in New York who wants nothing but to party hard on their wedding day. The venue, Jade Pavilion was transformed to a bar lounge set-up with the Brooklyn Skyline as their stage backdrop. Guests were partying as early as 5pm. Unlimited drinks (alcoholic that is) and food were already on the spread of the buffet tables. The entourage including their parents and principal sponsors started to dance their way to the dance floor as each pair was introduced. They were all game for such party. The couple had their grandest entrance. It was the best ever we had for the past 9 years I have been in the business. Not a typical wedding reception. It’s real Party! Party!
