     It’s been so many months now since our wedding and yet people are still giving me compliments and wonderful praises about it and so this is just right that I extend all the praises and compliments to you Jody and the rest of your staff. Your help and expertise are invaluable in making our dream wedding. We all had fabulous time, friends and family were just in awe that night,  they said it was a very well organized event considering I was doing all the planning out of the country. I miss our constant email, texting and calling. Congratulations to a job well done! Hope to see you on my next trip back that is if you’re not too busy helping other brides! You could see me smiling from ear to ear after receiving this text from my bride, yesterday, Alei.

It was a christian chinese wedding and I can’t help but comment to Weng and Alei how behaved their guests. I mean, we ended the reception program after 2 hours in 1Esplanade with all of their 300 guests still intact on their seats! Amazing huh, something that rarely happens for a chinese wedding.

I snagged some beautiful pictures from Jaime Tee. It’s been a while since I last work with his team and I must say, I was impressed with the shots. I also love the prenup pics they did in one of the resorts in Tanza, Cavite.

Alei looked stunning that day…

I so love this shot, seems like Alei walking down in the clouds of heaven…but its just from the hallway of Shangrila Hotel Makati…

And this is the equally dashing groom, Weng, who happened to be “the bride” during the preparations while Alei was away in Zurich. I have certain respect to a man like him. Wedding preparations isn’t easy at all but for someone who would do these for his bride, is something worth mentioning.

To Weng and Alei, you deserve the very best in your wedding day, because you two are good and kind-hearted people. We wish you to have more of your best as you start your married life in Zurich!

Hi Jody! Two weeks after the BIG day and we still feel like it just happened yesterday. Hoff and I always enjoy talking about the details of our wedding. Reminiscing how it went into place and how it happened the way we pictured it to, brings us happiness and contentment.

 Of course, I have you and your team to thank for. It wouldn’t be as wonderful without you guys. Our guests were raving about how organized the whole wedding was.. and how super fun and spontaneous the program has been. The wish tree Q&A part was carried out well, thanks to your superb ideas! You really deserve to be called the EVENTS EXPERTS. I’ll surely miss our meetings and me sending texts and emails to you, asking and making ‘kulit’ just about anything. haha.

 I wish that you continue to do well in your job, maintain your passion, and keep on helping the soon-to-weds fulfill their dream weddings =) Again, thanks so much for being a part of our wedding celebration. God bless you and your family. Hope to see you again soon!

Santuario de San Jose / Peninsula Manila

It was a wedding that was prepared for more than a year, I think.  Initially, the couple wanted an 08-08-08 wedding but I guess all things correspond for the perfect date for them on August 2, 2008 instead.  Paolo, who was a very hands-on groom made things clear from the very beginning the essentials they wanted for the wedding.  You should have seen their wedding invitation, which was perfectly executed.  It was actually my first time to receive a DVD-invite.  It was a nice watch and made me familiarize with the faces behind their wedding entourage list.  

Santuario De San Antonio was full of all beautiful people, all dressed in formal attire. Hazel walked gracefully for her bridal march in the tune of “I couldn’t ask for more,” which were sang by two of her good friends.  Paolo shed some tears while waiting in the altar.  

The whole of Blue Leaf was booked. Cocktails were served in The Silk Pavilion and both Banyan and Jade Pavillions were used up for the entire wedding reception with about 400 guests. Henry Pascual did a masterful landscape on each table. Kaye Cunanan Catering offered sumptuous meal. Check out what John Mateos Ong captured in wonderful pictures and the master Jason Magbanua rolled his video cameras to get the best moments of the entire day.

Issa Litton, a good friend of Paolo did a great job in hosting the reception programme that evening. Hazel and Paolo rocked the house when they performed their first dance after their grand entrance.  I always have high regard to couples who do a choreographed dance for their wedding.  The friends didn’t need any pulling to join the series of battles for the bouquet and garter game since the price was a domestic round-trip ticket via PAL.  And this was no joke!  So all single people in the house, flocked the center stage to join the fun.  Behind Closed Doors was the band entertainer. And all the guests stayed up late to more drinks and dancing.

Challenges that day were eased with the help of my competent wedding coordinators.  My friends from PAWP namely Liza Lugue-Alviedo of Kasalan Coordination, Nenita Zagala of Celebrations and Peaches Go-Tiu were my greatest reinforcements that day.  Thanks to the girls!  That is actually how we help each other in the association.  I likewise had also been a reinforcement to some of their weddings.  

We ended the night late as there were overflowing drinks from the bar and numerous gifts to turnover.  But I was a witness as to how Hazel and Paolo were truly loved by their family and friends.

Preparing for a wedding nowadays can be quite a production.

You get so overwhelmed with tons of details, that you wouldn’t even know where to start. And that is why Events Experts turned out as one of the best blessings we have ever had for our wedding. Jody Liwanag was always there for us, from the moment we started looking for a wedding organizer up to the time we were packing up leftovers from our reception dinner.

 Being an out of the country bride, I of course, had to resort to online searches for the best vendors and suppliers in the Philippines. Thank God for Jody’s quick response through email (she responds to emails promptly), we were able to book Events Experts to help us with the planning and coordination of our wedding.

 Events Experts proved to be a wonderful, very professional and very organized group. Thankful are we, up until now, that we chose the right event organizers group to guide us into having a wedding we have always dreamed of. Even when Jody went out of town for a few months prior to the wedding, Tina, her co-worker, had everything taken cared of.

St. James the Great, Bellevue Hotel

Who would say that only few people from Manila could even join Jenny and Rommel for the most important day in their lives?  I thought so.  But good friends, family and relatives, about 120 guests all traveled for almost 6 hours to get to Baguio and join them in their union.  Anticipation of the guests of the event were heightened because of a comprehensive wedding invitation kit, that details not only about the wedding ceremony and reception but as well as hotel accommodations for all guests, breakfasts and lunches available, open bar for the post wedding party invitation and even the whole map of Baguio City and including a detour on what their guests shouldn’t miss seeing and doing in the said city. 

The wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful gazebo within the garden of The Manor Hotel.  All eyes were laid on to Jenny as she walked down the pathway from her hotel room leading to the gazebo.  There was drama, an orchestration of movement, guests eventually shedding tears from their eyes.   As the couple spoke their words into their vows, more hearts were touched.  

The guests were then treated to enticing cocktails from Le Chef within the garden of The Manor Hotel after the wedding ceremony.  Then everyone was shuttled in Camp John Hay Clubhouse Veranda for an evening of great laughs, good food and wonderful entertainment in the reception.

It was a fun and lively programme.  Started off with the first dance of the newlyweds upon their grand entrance.  It was heartwarming to see them dance together gracefully for the first time as husband and wife while fountains were lit as their background.  Guests enjoyed a lot of drinking in the breezy and cold venue.  A number also participated in the games they prepared.  David Hanson captured all the beautiful memories and Jason Magbanua glided his video camera in capturing all the scenes to keep of that special day.  The night ended with a magnificent fireworks display in the veranda.   Most of the friends went on drinking that same night in The Manor Hotel for a post-wedding party hosted by the newlyweds. 

 What makes the wedding lovelier is because of the kind-hearted and beautiful couple like Jenny and Rommel.  All the wedding suppliers would never forget how warm they treated each and everyone of us.  For them, we are not just their wedding vendors.  We truly felt their full confidence with all their suppliers and how much they value all our work.  I for myself felt, that I was also a spectator of their wedding.  I watched it unfold before my eyes, so beautiful and uncompromising.  Everything falls in its perfect place that day.
