Tanega-Abayon Wedding (June 20, 2009)
One of the nice features about this wedding was that guests were treated to a candy buffet in the foyer area of Banyan Pavillion of Blue Leaf. The bride painstakingly bought and brought all these candies and chocolates from abroad so it can be neatly showcased in a buffet table. There were small boxes which she ordered from MarthaStewart.com She actually put the indiviudal names of her guests on the box which also serves as the placecards for each. It was also used as a container for all the candies and chocolates that the guests can get from the buffet on their way out. It was a treat for everyone. The candy buffet was a hit since it became wedding favors for the night.
Theme of the wedding was all about Seasons. Yes, its about Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. The bride, Celle who is currently based in New York and the groom, Rey, on the other hand is based in Canada thought of this theme as a symbolish of the seasons they have weathered for their relationship. Joyce Aguilar of 2171 floral creations did a wonderful arrangements on the table centerpieces. The Banyan Hall of Blue Leaf was truly transformed in different seasons using different colored linens as well as appropriate floral decors suited to Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.
The ceremony was held in St. Alphonsus de Liguori (Magallanes Church) at 3pm. I was amazed as to how organized the church staff there! It has been a while since we had a last wedding there. I might say, they were different from the other “manangs’ from other churches. Ms Cathy, the one who was coordinating for all the documents were also very helpful and accommodating. I didn’t have any problems at all in submission of requirements even if Celle and Rey were based overseas.
Again, another beautiful wedding! Cheers to Celle and Rey for a happy married life!
